Important deadlines

The SHBP Retiree Option Change Period for 2018 begins October 16, 12:00 a.m. ET and ends November 3, 2017, 11:59 p.m. ET.

Plan elections are due by November 3, 2017.

How to enroll in one of our Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGa) Medicare Advantage plan options

To enroll online:

  • Go to the SHBP enrollment portal:  www.mySHBP.ga.adp/com/shbp
  • Log on with your user name and password.
    • If you are a first time user, you must register using the registration code SHBP-GA and set up a password before making your 2017 election.
    • If it's been awhile since you logged in, you may be asked to reset your password before logging in.

To enroll by phone:

  • Call SHBP Member Services at 800-610-1863
    • Extended hours during the Retiree Option Change Period are:
      • 8:30 a.m. ET to 7:30 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday
      • 8:00 a.m. ET to 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday
    • Standard hours are:
      • 8:30 a.m. ET to 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday
      • 8:00 a.m. ET to 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday

What happens after you enroll?

 

Once you're enrolled in a BCBSGa Medicare Advantage plan, you will receive the following:

 

  1. Letter from us letting you know we received your enrollment and when your plan coverage will start.
  2. Confirmation letter of enrollment – which is proof of membership until your member ID card arrives. 
  3. Your BCBSGa member ID card.
  4. Welcome Kit that includes important information about your BCBSGa Medicare Advantage plan option.

Is your 65th Birthday coming soon?

If yes, then we want to wish you an early Happy 65th Birthday!  About 2-3 months before your birthday you should receive our Pre-Enrollment guide; which is also available on this website by clicking here and then looking under "Enrollment Information".  You are also welcome to contact our First Impressions Welcome Line for any information you need to select one of our BCBSGa Medicare Advantage plan options.
